We’re locking in some new venues at Baskerville\, Clarence Plains and Glenorchy MTB Park. \nCyclocross (sometimes known as CX) is a mix between road riding and cross-country mountain biking. It started as a winter season alternative to road racing in Northern Europe many decades ago. \nRaces are held over short courses with racers avoiding obstacles (which may require dismounting)\, riding on grass\, gravel\, steep hills and more. It’s a sometimes muddy\, fun experience for all ages of riders. \n\nOnline Entries Only: No entries will be accepted on the day\n\n\nRACE DETAILS:\nCyclocross (CX) Racing involve multiple laps of a short\, non-technical\, mixed terrain circuit. Racing will be the “mini – enduro” format with whoever completes the most laps in 45 minutes being declared the winner. CX is less technical than traditional Cross-Country MTB Racing and has the addition of sections of track where participants need to dismount and run with their bikes. \nBikes:\nAll types of bike (and rider) are welcome to get involved and get rad! (as long as they have 2 working brakes\, and bar plugs in the handlebars). Bring your cross\, gravel or all-road bike or MTB \nGrippy tyres are handy. Experienced riders can show just how quick and stylish they can be around the short course. \nTake 45 minutes to complete as many laps as you can smash out – start time 6.00pm (Auscycling race off road or race all discipline required) \n\nTime\n\nRegistration via Entry Boss\nRace starts 6.00pm\, finish soon after 6:45pm\n\n\nVenue: Glenorchy Mountain Bike Park\, Tolosa St\, Glenorchy\nThe event is being held on the awesome lower trails at Glenorchy MTB Park. Car parking is available in the public car park at the trail head at the end of Tolosa Road (the gate will be open to drive up). It’s a sometimes muddy\, fun experience for all ages of riders. \n\nOnline Entries Only: No entries will be accepted on the day\n\n\nRACE DETAILS:\nCyclocross (CX) Racing involves multiple laps of a short\, non-technical\, mixed terrain circuit. Racing will be the “mini – enduro” format with whoever completes the most laps in 45 minutes being declared the winner. CX is less technical than traditional Cross-Country MTB Racing and has the addition of sections of track where participants need to dismount and run with their bikes. \nBikes:\nAll types of bike (and rider) are welcome to get involved and get rad! DESCRIPTION:ABOUT\nSunday 15 June\, 2025\nNorth Warrane Oval \nJoin us for race two of the five race CX series for 2025. Round 2i is at North Warrane Oval to mix things up. \nCX racing will be followed with a piece of cake post-race – and a handful of spot prizes. \nThere are three club races this week! Kings Cross\, Selbourne & North Warrane CX. All riders doing will get something to recognise their status as a hardcore bike racer (well\, at least an honourable mention at Warrane). \nCyclocross (sometimes known as CX) is a mix between road riding and cross-country mountain biking. It started as a winter season alternative to road racing in Northern Europe many decades ago. \nRaces are held over short courses with racers avoiding obstacles (which may require dismounting)\, riding on grass\, gravel\, steep hills and more. It’s a sometimes muddy\, fun experience for all ages of riders. \n\nOnline Entries Only: No entries will be accepted on the day\n\n\nRACE DETAILS:\nCyclocross (CX) Racing involves multiple laps of a short\, non-technical\, mixed terrain circuit. Racing will be the “mini – enduro” format with whoever completes the most laps in 45 minutes being declared the winner. CX is less technical than traditional Cross-Country MTB Racing and has the addition of sections of track where participants need to dismount and run with their bikes. \nBikes:\nAll types of bike (and rider) are welcome to get involved and get rad! (as long as they have 2 working brakes\, and bar plugs in the handlebars). Bring your gravel or cross bike or MTB \n\nCOST\n$5 for under 18s \n$15 for 18 years and over \nAuscycling Day Membership race at extra cost \n\nTIME:\nRide & Racing \nCome & Try at 10:30am – younger kids 4 – 11 + anyone that wants a go on the course \nRace at 11:00am \nThe 11:00am race will be 45 minutes \n\nGETTING THERE\nAccess to North Warrane Oval is from Bounty Street Warrane. Which can be accessed after the Dampier Street overpass or via Flagstaff Gully Link. The venue is not directly accessible from the Clarence MTB Car Park. The course is around the surrounds of the oval\, not the oval itself. Please don’t take your bike onto the oval.

It’s mainly green\, so a great opportunity for juniors and less experienced riders to make their race debut. Seniors and experienced juniors can show just how quick and stylish they can be around the short course. \nThe Event\nTake 45 minutes to complete as many laps as you can smash out – start time 6.00pm (Auscycling race off road or race all discipline required) \n\nTime\n\nRegistration from 5:30pm\nRace starts 6.00pm\, finish soon after 6:45pm\n\n\nVenue: Queens Domain\nThe track will start and finish near the very top of the Domain\, just below the Queens Domain Upper Summit Carpark. There is plenty of parking\, picnic tables\, a couple of BBQs and space for a picnic rug so supporters can lie back and watch the action roll by – or enjoy a post-race picnic. \n\nBikes and Equipment:\nPlease be sure your bike is in great nick\, with working brakes\, no play in the bearings and plugged bar ends. Mountain bike riding can be dangerous\, and we need everyone to wear a helmet and gloves as per Auscycling technical regulations. \n\nEntry Categories:\nFor the twilight series we are looking to keep things super simple – one entry fee for juniors\, one for seniors – doesn’t get much simpler than that! \nAll junior riders are required to have a parent or guardian attend the event with them. \nOnline Entries Only: Please enter well in advance (this is very helpful to the organisers!) but for those that must wait until the last minute\, entries will be open until rego time. \n\nCost and Registration\nJuniors\, up to U19 – $5 Seniors – $10 \nTo register and participate in this event\, riders must hold a valid Auscycling Membership at the time of registering. DESCRIPTION:About\nWe’ve designed a fun loop. It’s mainly green\, so a great opportunity for juniors and less experienced riders to make their race debut. Seniors and experienced juniors can show just how quick and stylish they can be around the short course. \nThe Event\nTake 45 minutes to complete as many laps as you can smash out – start time 6.00pm (Auscycling race off road or race all discipline required) \n\nTime\n\nRegistration from 5:30pm\nRace starts 6.00pm\, finish soon after 6:45pm\n\n\nVenue: Kingston Mountain Bike Park\nThe track will start and finish a short distance down the trail from the main car park at Kingston Bike Park. Registration will be next to the new shelter. There are public toileting facilities available at the Kingborough Sports Centre 400m away. \n\nBikes and Equipment:\nPlease be sure your bike is in great nick\, with working brakes\, no play in the bearings and plugged bar ends. Mountain bike riding can be dangerous\, and we need everyone to wear a helmet and gloves as per Auscycling technical regulations. \n\nEntry Categories:\nFor the twilight series we are looking to keep things super simple – one entry fee for juniors\, one for seniors – doesn’t get much simpler than that! \nAll junior riders are required to have a parent or guardian attend the event with them. \nOnline Entries Only: Please enter well in advance (this is very helpful to the organisers!) but for those that must wait until the last minute\, entries will be open until rego time. \n\nCost and Registration\nJuniors\, up to U19 – $5 Seniors – $10 \nTo register and participate in this event\, riders must hold a valid Auscycling Membership at the time of registering. For those unsure of racing\, AusCycling offers a one month free trial membership. This can be due to weather events (our permit to use the venue will be cancelled if the tracks are too wet) or circumstances outside of the control of the event organiser. If an event is cancelled\, rescheduling will occur where possible. Full refunds are available upon cancelation or for anyone unable to make the date of a rescheduled event.
