MTB TWILIGHT SPRINT SERIES
Thursdays
About
We’ve designed a 1.7km loop that is pretty much all green, so juniors are very much encouraged to give XC racing a go. Seniors and experienced juniors can show just how quick they can be around the short course.
Juniors Event
We will have a 30 minute slot for you to complete one to four laps depending on age (U13 1 lap, U15 2 laps, U17 3 laps, U19 4 laps) start time 5.30pm (Auscycling lifestyle membership or above required)
All comers
Take 45 minutes to complete as many laps as you can smash out – start time 6.30pm (Auscycling race off road or race all discipline required)
Time
- Registration from 5pm
- Junior session starts 5.30pm, finish soon by 6pm
- All comers race session starts 6.30pm, finish soon after 7.15pm
Venue: Kingston Mountain Bike Park
The track will start and finish a short distance down the trail from the main car park at Kingston Bike Park. Registration will be adjacent to the new shelter. There are public toileting facilities available at the Kingborough Sports Centre 400m away.
Bikes and Equipment:
Please be sure your bike is in great nick, with working brakes, no play in the bearings and plugged bar ends. Mountain bike riding can be dangerous and we need everyone to wear a helmet and gloves as per Auscycling technical regulations.
Entry Categories:
For the twilight series we are looking to keep things super simple – just choose either the Junior or All-comers event and select your correct age category.
All junior riders are required to have a parent or guardian attend the event with them.
Online Entries Only: No entries will be accepted on the day
Cost and Registration
Juniors – $5 All comers – $10
To register and participate in this event, riders must hold a valid Auscycling Membership at the time of registering. Please note: Membership must be valid on the date of the event for which you are registering. If your membership expires before the date of the event, you must renew your membership before entering this event. For more information on Auscycling membership options CLICK HERE.
Event Conditions
The event organiser reserves the right to change or cancel the event. This can be due to weather events (our permit to use the venue will be cancelled if the tracks are too wet) or circumstances outside of the control of the event organiser. If an event is cancelled, rescheduling will occur where possible. Full refunds are available upon cancelation or for anyone unable to make the date of a rescheduled event.
