The AusCycling Tasmanian State CX Champs doubles as the final race of the HWDD CX series 2024

Participation is still the main aim here. If you have ridden any of the series – or were thinking of it – make sure you enter this one!

You are eligible for a State Title & Podium position whether on a CX/Gravel bike or MTB bike (but please ride your cross/gravel bike if you own one in the spirit of cross)

UCI restrictions on tyre widths do not apply in this race.

There’s a RideNation come & try pre-ride, then a race and followed by spot prizes, cake and chatting. AND STATE CHAMP MEDALS

RACE DETAILS:

Cyclocross (CX) Racing involves multiple laps of a short, non-technical, mixed terrain circuit. Racing will be the “mini – enduro” format with whoever completes the most laps in 45 minutes being declared the winner. CX is less technical than traditional Cross-Country MTB Racing and has the addition of sections of track where participants need to dismount and run with their bikes.

Bikes:

All types of bike (and rider) are welcome to get involved and get rad! (as long as they have 2 working brakes, and bar plugs in the handlebars). Bring your gravel or cross bike or MTB

$5 for under 18s

$15 for 18 years and over

Auscycling Day Membership race at extra cost


TIME:

Ride & Racing

Come & Try at 10:30am – younger kids 4 – 11 + anyone that wants a go on the course

Race at 11:00am

The 11:00am race will be 45 minutes


GETTING THERE

Rosny Park is off Rosny Hill Rd, adjacent to the Eastlands shopping centre. The rego spot is near the old golf club house & near Rosny Farm.
