QUEEN’S DOMAIN ROUND OF THE MTB TWILIGHT SPRINT SERIES

About
We’ve designed a quick 1.8km loop that that is pretty much all green, so juniors & newcomers are very much encouraged to give XC racing a go, while our seniors and experienced juniors can show just how quick and stylish they can be around the short course.
Juniors & newcomers event – We will have a 30-minute slot for you to complete one to 3 laps depending on age (U13 = 1, U15 = 2, U17 and newcomers = 3 – start time 5.30pm
All comers – Take 45 minutes to complete as many laps as you can smash out – start time 6.15pm
Time
- Registration from 5pm
- Junior session starts 5.30pm, finish by 6pm
- All comers race session starts 6.15pm, finish soon after 7.00pm
Venue: Queen’s Domain
The track will start and finish near the very top of the Domain, just below the Queens Domain Upper Summit Carpark. There is plenty of parking, picnic tables, a couple of BBQs and space for a picnic rug so you can lie back and watch the action roll by
Bikes and Equipment:
Please be sure your bike is in great nick, with working brakes, no play in the bearings and plugged bar ends. Mountain bike riding can be dangerous and we need everyone to wear a helmet and gloves as per Auscycling technical regulations.
Entry Categories:
For the twilight series we are looking to keep things super simple – just choose your age category and indicate in the comments box if you want to go in the juniors/newcomers race at 530
All junior riders are required to have a parent or guardian attend the event with them.
Online Entries Only: No entries will be accepted on the day
Cost and Registration
Juniors – $5 All comers – $10
To register and participate in this event, riders must hold a valid Auscycling Membership at the time of registering. Please note: Membership must be valid on the date of the event for which you are registering. Event Conditions
The event organiser reserves the right to change or cancel the event. This can be due to weather events (our permit to use the venue will be cancelled if the tracks are too wet) or circumstances outside of the control of the event organiser. If an event is cancelled, rescheduling will occur where possible. Full refunds are available upon cancelation or for anyone unable to make the date of a rescheduled event.
